Our topic this half term is 'Whose Shoes' and we have been having so much fun finding out about different types of shoes.
During our Practical Numeracy sessions we have been thinking about how we could sort shoes in lots of ways. We sorted sets of baby shoes, sandals, sparkly shoes, shoes with laces, velcro shoes and high-heeled shoes.
The Central Shoe Shop has a great variety of shoes - we have been pricing shoes and using 1p, 2p, 5p and 10p coins to pay for our favourite pairs. We've been busy trying on shoes and measuring out feet to make sure our shoes fit perfectly.
In our Elves Workshop we have been making our own shoes - joining materials together by punching holes and using tape, string and glue. As you can see we've also been busy mending shoes with a variety of tools.
We've been practising our turn-taking skills playing a fun shoe matching game called 'Crocs in Socks'.
