Water Safety in Primary 1!
17th May 2018
On Thursday 17th May, we had two special visitors from Foyle Search and Rescue who came to tell us how to stay safe when we are near water. They brought lots of equipment and showed us how to throw the ropes and the life buoy. We learned about the different flags that keep us safe when we're on the beach. We all had a go at throwing the ropes and aiming a ball through the life buoy - practising drills just like real lifeguards! We were so excited to see the Search and Rescue jeep and we got to hear the siren and see the blue flashing lights!
Many thanks to Stephen and Pat for giving up their time to come and talk to us - we really appreciate the job you do. You really are heroes!
