Primary 3 'celebrate' in style!
18th Nov 2015
We have just started our new topic on Celebrations. The children are enjoying making clay diyas (small light holders), rangoli patterns and decorating hands with Mehndi patterns to help celebrate the Hindu festival of Diwali which started on the 11th November.
As Christmas is fast approaching we will soon be thinking about designing new toys for Santa's workshop, following instructions to make a decoration, counting decorations on a tree to make a graph and reading clocks to sequence Santa's day.
In the New Year we will focus on birthday celebrations and finish up with the Chinese New Year when the children will be making dragons and counting money in lucky red envelopes.
Lots to look forward to!
