Primary 1 visit Limavady Fire Station
23rd May 2017
On Friday 19th May the Primary 1 children enjoyed a visit to our local fire station. We were so excited as we walked into town, waiting for our first glimpse of a real fire engine! Fire-fighter Mervyn showed us the fire engine and we got to see the big ladders and the different hoses. It was very exciting to see the 'Jaws of Life' - a special tool that the fire-fighters use when they go to a car crash. We got to sit in the cab of the fire engine and we also got to hear the loud siren - it made everyone jump! We'd like to say a big thank you to Limavady Fire Station and especially to Fire-fighters Mervyn and Jim who made our visit so exciting!
