Recently, as part of our ‘Great Irish Famine’ topic, P7 took part in a ‘Soup Kitchen Day’, stepping into the shoes of families on the roads during the Irish Famine.
We thought about what it might have been like for people during the Great Famine to seek food and support, making their way to the ‘Soup Kitchen’ and ‘The Workhouse’
We even received some real soup as a reward for our amazing empathy skills!
