This half term we’ve been having lots of fun exploring our ‘Fun on the Farm’ topic during Learning through Play. We’ve enjoyed small world imaginative play with farm vehicles, animals and the Farm Duplo set.
We are great at taking turns as we play the Tractor Match Memory pairs game with our friends. We’ve enjoyed listening to farm-themed stories such as ‘The Little Red Hen’ and ‘Mrs Wishy Washy’, then acting out the stories through our play. The Wishy Washy water tray is always busy as the animals keep jumping in the mud and need to go into the bubbly tub for a good scrub!
We’ve been enjoying dough play at our Bakery, creating all sorts of tasty breads, buns and cookies to sell our customers. We’ve been learning about the different foods that farmers grow and painting pictures of our favourite foods.
